Sci-Fi Set In Space

This list was inspired by the reading prompt: Read a Sci-Fi book set in space in the Playing Card Reading Challenge (2 of Clubs)

Why read science fiction? ‘Cause it’s fun!

But seriously, sci-fi pushes the envelope of what we think might be possible. It is inspiring at times and terrifying at others. Great science fiction holds a mirror up to society and forces you to take a look at some cold, hard truths. It also makes you think through some pretty significant what-if scenarios. Science fiction isn’t just space exploration or robots/aliens taking over the world (though there is some of that, too). The genre offers a lot to be explored and varies widely in theme and scope.

Our prompt specifies that the books in this list be set in space, but even so, I think you will find that myriad adventures are awaiting you here.
